Every year, the hashtag #RPGaDAY makes its way around the social medias, and gamers try their damnedest to answer each question every day. Most fail. I probably will too. BUT. I will try!
Today's question: Which RPG do you enjoy using as is?
Well this is one of those questions that I'm going to have to give a cop out of an answer. Most, if not all games I've played I enjoy as delivered. That's one of the reasons we buy new games, isn't it? To experience new play mechanics, new settings, and new concepts in RPGs.
I'm a firm believer that before you touch even the smallest mechanic of a game, or add the tiniest of house rules; you should play the game rules-as-written. With that one piece of advice, I find that there aren't many games where I would want or need to adapt, change, or house rule.
So if I were to do this question justice, I would write an exhaustive list of every game I've played. But I'm far too lazy for that, so here's a pretty picture of my bookshelf from a couple months ago.
Gen Con 50 starts tomorrow, and I can't really concentrate. So until tomorrow, game well!
